This integral leadership and marketing focuses on inner alignment to purpose, passion, and potential as a way to organically emerge in the world. NParadigm sees authentic and transformative leadership as marketing, expanding the concept of sales to service. If service is the true focus, sales will be a natural outcome.

LEADERSHIP CONSULTING

a Path
"A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves." Lao Tzu
Using statistical research as visual data, along with human narratives, we facilitate dialogues across gender lines to build communal understanding and empathy. This understanding and empathy is applied both internally to ourselves and externally to others. As throughout nParadigm, this is a model that goes both within and without to connect self and other.

Purpose

AUTHENTIC MARKETING
Seeing the other as a reflection of ourselves, we work on how we see ourselves to see how we project ourselves onto others. What are our core wounds and fears as men and women, masculine and feminine, across lines of race, class, and orientation?
"Strategic leaders must not get consumed by the operational and tactical side of their work. They have a duty to find time to shape the future." Stephanie S. Mead
Through introspection and reflection, we find and address the fundamental misunderstanding and resulting prejudice within ourselves. How have we created negative thought patterns and core beliefs that reflect external limitation within? Through engaged activities that promote self-reflection and reveal projection, from the individual to the group, we begin dialogues that communicate cultural difference to break down walls and build bridges. Again, based on our circle or 360 model, we pattern holistic thinking that incorporates many perspectives into one.

Passion
Potential
"Those that have embraced authenticity and transparency find consumers will do the marketing for them. Those that have fought it continue to struggle to regain footing with an audience who will watch their every move, waiting to pounce when the first signs of negativity arise." Forbes

GENDER ADVOCACY

gender advocacy
-
A gender role is a set of societal norms dictating the types of behaviors which are generally considered acceptable, appropriate, or desirable for people based on their sex. Gender roles are usually centered on conceptions of femininity and masculinity, although there are exceptions and variations.

At nParadigm, we cover the required standards for the prevention, recognition, and treatment of sexual and gender based harassment and violence — but we do it in a different way. Unlike traditional programs that maintain an us versus them dynamic, reinforcing and antagonizing difference, we establish points of commonality and unity. By fostering empathy and shared understanding, nParadigm thus transcends external motivation (which is statistically contextual and temporary) to create internal motivation. Put simply, we facilitate cultural shifts that make sexual assault and harassment unimaginable and untenable because the core values of empathy and understanding will not support them—because they support everyone.
The shift is in the inner perspective that identifies with the group, dissolving the separation that gender inequity is based on. This is inner shift can be felt, putting the group at ease, and allowing people to work with difference as an advantage not a disadvantage. It translates to changed behavior that lasts.
Through nParadigm labs we begin by creating a safe circle or container. Based on research that people feel better and work better when they feel safe, we apply a model of cultural therapy to corporate culture. This allows us to treat the root cause—a cause that not only marginalizes and dehumanizes individuals but negates group potential. On all levels, safe environments are in the benefit of all. This is a cultural shift that effects the whole but it begins with each individual. It is built from the bottom up.
INDIVIDUAL AGENCY ACCOUNTABILITY
The nParadigm model is based on personal and group accountability. Through labs we model and enact ways of being and seeing. Giving examples and statistics, we invite participants to share their stories, humanizing the narratives. In this way, multiple perspectives are brought in to give wider angle views, ending with 360 degree or circle sessions where we give feedback, acknowledgement, and support.

Natural Law
-
A body of unchanging moral principles regarded as a basis for human conduct.
-
An observable law relating to natural phenomenon.

We are a part of NATURE and nature can teach us how to be in right relationship with each other and the world. Accordingly, at nParadigm, we look to the natural world to remember and reimagine how to work as a part of a group within an environment—a sustainable system.
NParadigm works with biomimicry or the copying of nature and what we call natural law, principles that govern human nature as a part of nature. Creating order out of chaos and simplicity out of complexity, these laws are universal and predictable. Though the outcomes of the laws vary, the truth of their influence does not. Instead of creating a new and false foundation, pParadigm builds upon the preexisting patterns of nature with nature.
Natural laws govern the world within us, around us, and between us. Balancing what is ideal and what is real, natural law supports the fundamental freedom of the individual within the group. Nature realizes that both the individual and group potential are one.
Nature is thus an integral part of our labs and curriculum, and the retreat center facilitates the necessary immersion into the natural world. Walking in reflection and meditation on the land, people are transformed by a way of being in harmony that cannot be taught but must be experienced—a way of being beyond words.
Staying centered is a matter of maintaining balance. While some models push toward short-term goals, nParadigm is built upon a principle of environmental sustainability. It is our experience that we capsize into unconscious negative behaviors when we become ego-focused, self-centered. In the nParadigm labs, the individual is centered but is not the center—the group’s core mission and purpose is the center and this is where we begin to work.
“People don’t resist change. They resist being changed!” Peter Senge
After creating a safe circle, we find the center—the guiding mission or vision of the group. This is our focus, our bull’s eye or circumpunct. In in the east it is the bindu or seed thought from which all life emerges. The symbol for the sun, gold and the realization of our highest potential, the circumpunct is how we “hold it together” when we begin to break down.
EXAMPLE. When we lose our center, and yell at another person or internalize resentment toward them, we damage both our outer relationships and our inner relationship. We risk our health, the health of the company and extended community. Through studies we know, for example, that the number one sense of stability for a child is the mood of their parent when they come home. This is a different kind of risk management, a different kind of health program that is based on a principle of prevention and community health. It is relational, recognizing that work and home are not separate—whether we try to separate them or not.
“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want” Lao Tzu

Synchronicity is nature’s way of collaborating and co-creating through emergent phenomenon. System’s thinking is a way to see and describe the big picture, to connect the dots in a way that recognizes that systems are organic and whole. An intuitive vision of the world, systems thinking sees the world as interconnected and interdependent, and humans as a part of not apart from this whole.
“The more complex the network is, the more complex its pattern of interconnections, the more resilient it will be.” Fritjof Capra
It is a virtual world. We connect you. We design campaigns and brands. We believe in the power of multisensory inspirational campaigns. We promote visual mediums for powerful, rapid consumption. We get you the exposure you deserve to expand your business.
"We believe in the power of marketing synergy. It is a virtual world, a connected human network. Marketing Synergy is when the sum of the whole system is greater than the sum of its parts: 1 + 1 = 3. Together we are powerful." Anna Boatright

The hero is the archetype of leadership. The hero has fixed traits that cross cultures, time and space. The hero serves others, not themselves. The hero suffers and risks danger to achieve their goal. Though they may work alone, they work for others. The hero’s power is derived from their selflessness. They are motivated by the greater good.
A hero does not operate from an egosystem. Great leaders don’t create a state of dependency that requires them to save the day. In fact, they won’t allow dependencies to exist. Rescuing is not the same thing as leading. A strong leader creates an ecosystem where people do not have to be rescued. We all save ourselves, together!
Working the archetype of the hero and the archetypal hero’s journey, we help people to discover their treasure or purpose. This treasure is notoriously hidden, buried in the most unlikely place. While we have been conditioned to pursue individual success, it is only in service to something beyond ourselves that we realize our potential. We must find our buried treasure.
"It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure." Joseph Campbell

HONOR
At nParadigm, we see the treasure as not only within but in each other. The treasure is the atonement that frees us from selfishness through identification with the all, a shift from individual to collective consciousness. In order to connect to the greater whole of which we are a part.
In order to claim our treasure we must confront our shadow, the aspects of ourselves that we have repressed. Shadow work is necessary to reclaim our power and our full selves—our light.
"To confront a person with his shadow is to show him his own light." Carl Jung
This is a process of confronting that which we have hidden, even from ourselves. It is a process of embracing that which we have discarded and bringing it into the light—both individually and collectively. In our labs we work through individual complexes to get to the underlying collective complexes or archetypal patterns that reflect both the limitation and realization of our full potential. By digging through these collective layers, we reach our deepest powers. This shadow work is hard, requiring honesty and integrity so that we do not project our shadow onto others.
"The heroes’ journey leads us into the dark unconscious to fill it with conscious light. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious." Carl Jung

Honor is both a noun, meaning “high respect, esteem” and “a privilege” and a verb, meaning “regard with great respect” and to “fulfill (an obligation) or keep (an agreement).” We use these meanings with the additional sense that we honor each other by being fully honest. Only when we relate to each other in honor will we fulfill our individual and collective potential.
"I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating."
Sophacles
NParadigm is based on the self-reinforcing and self-corrective nature of the group. Groups are built upon trust and mutually dependence. If an individual betrays the group in word or action, the group response will call the individual into question. People seek inclusion and avoid exclusion, and so the power of the group is a powerful incentive. We seek honor.
"Confidence... thrives on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them it cannot live." Franklin D. Roosevelt
"Life every man holds dear; but the dear man holds honor far more precious dear than life." William Shakespeare

LEGACY - WHAT YOU GIVE

Traditionally your legacy is what you leave behind in your will, something given to your heir. This is a definition based on money and property. At nParadigm we define legacy as what you leave to society. It is a value based in connection and relationship. It is an investment in human capital not cold hard cash.
While money and organizational excellence are important, we encourage people to look at the whole picture. Beyond the individual, we encourage people to see the potential investment value in others as well as ourselves, to bequest our purpose, passion, and potential to future generations and the world.
Your life is your legacy. Your purpose is the blue print, your passion, the energy, your potential the end result. Purpose, passion, and potential are how you achieve your legacy. We believe that you are here for a reason.
Life is about making a difference not a dollar. At nParadigm we help you make a difference—your difference.
"Legacy is not leaving something for people. It’s leaving something in people." Peter Strople

No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave." Calvin Coolidge

LET GO

Flow is a creative, fluid energetic state—a state of peak performance. It reflects the realization of a higher state of potential, both individual and group, whose insight and energy can be shared with others. According to studies, humans flow when they do what they love: when they follow their purpose, passion, and potential. We flow when we are one with something greater outside of ourselves.
Flow is the way of nature. Rivers flow, lava flows, moving from a higher potential to a lower. Similarly, ideas flow and energy flows to circulate through a system, delivering necessary resources to all of the parts of an organization. Inspiring, connecting, and integrating to achieve our group potential. If the flow is impeded, however, control or money held by the few, for example, the energetic potential is lost, leading eventually to system collapse.
Flow is thus the primary model of sustainable practice that we embody. Like all of our practices, it is applied internally and externally on multiple levels of scale to create an integrity between what we say and do.
"Success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue...as the unintended side-effect of one's personal dedication to a course greater than oneself.” Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
“Contrary to what we usually believe, moments like these, the best moments in our lives, are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times—although such experiences can also be enjoyable, if we have worked hard to attain them. The best moments usually occur when a person’s body or mind is stretched to its limits in a voluntary effort to accomplish something difficult and worthwhile. Optimal experience is thus something that we make happen. For each person there are thousands of opportunities, challenges to expand ourselves.” Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
Put simply, when an organization stops to flow, it begins to die. At nParadigm we look for and identify the places where ideas and energy have stopped flowing. By working together with stakeholders we assess and implement ways to increase flow, restructuring and repairing infrastructure to allow ongoing movement of key resources.
At nParadigm we implement flow within and without as a guiding systems model for our business and our finance. Reinvesting in community as a Benefit Corporation, we recognize that for ideas and energy to flow through us to you, we need to not only model but live these practices.
